The AELF motor-driven level switch detects bulk solids with a rotating paddle selected for the material. When material covers the paddle and resists rotation, the level alarm contact operates and a second contact stops the motor. When the material falls, rotation resumes and the alarm changes state. The spring offers four torque settings to suit material density.

Applications include plastic granules, grain, flour, salt, sugar, coffee, milk powder, cement, sand, coal, wood fibres and chemical raw materials. Listed ambient conditions: 5–95% RH, temperature up to 70 °C and not below −25 °C.

Install according to the product wiring diagram and manual. Provide the required external fuse and circuit breaker; these are not built into the device. Do not use this switch alone at a control point where a detection failure could endanger people. Provide suitable independent protective measures. Do not modify or repair the device; repairs must be performed by authorised service personnel. Retain the manual and identification labels, and inspect the packaging and device for transport damage before installation.
