The EG-11 level measurement system uses a float moving along a tube. Permanent magnets in the float operate a chain of reed switches, producing a resistance signal that is evaluated by the control/display unit.

For top-mounted tank applications, the EG-112R control panel converts the signal for automation and can provide four contacts at selected levels. The existing catalogue lists 4–20 mA and 4–20 V output options; confirm the required output when ordering. An integrated converter can provide a direct 4–20 mA signal without a separate panel when specified during manufacture.
