The YBS-10 surface blowdown system automatically controls total dissolved solids in steam-boiler water. A conductivity sensor, transmitter, control valve, PID controller and control panel discharge water when the configured limit is exceeded.

An optional plate heat exchanger and circulation pump recover heat from blowdown water to preheat boiler feedwater. Actual savings depend on operating conditions. Maximum listed pressure: 16 bar. Maximum operating temperature: 150 °C. Consult the boiler manufacturer when setting the permissible conductivity/TDS level.
